Anooj Kothari, Northeast regional sales engineer for AMERICAN SpiralWeld Pipe and AMERICAN Ductile Iron Pipe, was recently appointed to the American Water Works Association’s Manufacturers and Associates Council (MAC).
Kothari’s term will begin in June 2019. MAC represents AWWA members in the manufacturing and service sectors, and provides policy input to the organization on behalf of its constituents. MAC is one of five Councils within AWWA and council chairs serve on AWWA’s executive committee.
Kothari graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2015. He is a member of AWWA on the national level and the New York and New England sections, as well as the American Society of Civil Engineers. Kothari resides in North Bergen, New Jersey, and serves the New York and New England markets for AMERICAN.
AMERICAN has been an AWWA member company since 1907 and its employees serve in numerous volunteer positions on the national and section levels. Founded in 1905 in Birmingham, Alabama, AMERICAN manufactures fire hydrants, valves, ductile iron pipe and spiral-welded steel pipe for the waterworks industry. Its diversified product line also includes fire pumps, structural casings and pilings, castings for large machinery, and specialty rubber products.
