AMERICAN Ductile Iron Pipe Sales Engineer Jay Cermenaro, Pittsburgh District Sales Office, was recently awarded the John Lechner Award of Excellence by the American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) Ohio Section. The award is given to a Manufacturers/Associates Council (MAC) member who demonstrates exemplary service to the drinking water community and promotes the AWWA Ohio Section’s mission and goals.

Cermenaro joined AWWA in 2005. He became involved with the Ohio Section of AWWA in 2007 and MAC chair in 2011. Cermenaro received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and has been employed with AMERICAN since 2004.
