Stewart Named Manager of Industrial Relations

Rob Stewart has been named manager of industrial relations at AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company (AMERICAN).

Stewart began his career with AMERICAN as a departmental clerk in 1991 in
the general yards department. After a short tenure in general yards, he transferred to the human resources division as industrial relations
specialist, the position he held at the time of his current appointment.

Stewart is a 1990 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He
holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources management. He is certified by
Development Dimensions International as a targeted selection trainer, apprentice assessor and wage supervision assessor. Prior to joining
AMERICAN he was employed by the Alabama State Employment Office.

Stewart serves on the board of directors of the ACIPCO Federal Credit Union. He is a member of several organizations including the Birmingham Society for Human Resources Management, National Industry Liaison Group, Alabama Industry Liaison Group, and ACIPCO Leadership Association.

He and wife Stacey have two sons and reside in Trussville, Ala., where he coaches little league sports.
