AMERICAN Wins Top Honor in Medallion Awards Competition

AMERICAN’s Intranet Next Generation (iNG) team took home top honors at this year’s Medallion Awards Competition, hosted by the Public Relations Council of Alabama. The team received a Medallion Award in the category of Website Development – Intranet for “@AMERICAN: Reviving the Intranet With Zero Budget.” This project, led by Senior Communications Specialist Myra Hunter, also received one of only two Judges Awards presented for overall excellence.

AMERICAN’s communications group also received an Award of Merit in the category of Writing for Public Relations – Feature Story for its entry, “Fire Hydrant Maintenance – What Property Managers Should Know.” This article was featured in the October issue of Residential Resource, the monthly magazine of the National Association for Residential Property Managers. The article, which highlighted proper inspection and maintenance of hydrants, also called attention to the industry’s hydrant alert and search for hydrants still in need of repair.
