Amarillo Fast-Grip Gasket Now Available in EPDM and Nitrile

AMERICAN Ductile Iron Pipe unveiled its Amarillo Fast-Grip Gasket for use with AMERICAN Fastite Pipe earlier this year. When introduced, the gasket was offered in only standard SBR, but AMERICAN is now making the gaskets available in other rubber compounds – EPDM and Nitrile – to further meet customers’ needs.

SBR rubber is best for use in fresh water, salt water and sanitary sewage applications. EPDM is best suited for water and sewage applications, as well as in acidic and alkaline soils and higher temperature service. Nitrile is for use in the same environments as EPDM and also for use in the presence of fats, greases and refined petroleum oils and fluids.

The Amarillo gasket is available in sizes 4- to 30-inches in diameter. Its bright yellow color allows installers to more easily see if the gasket is seated properly and quickly confirms that they have the right gasket for the Fastite bell. The Amarillo gasket is also made in America – The Right Way. For more information, visit www.american-usa.com, click on “Products” and then “Gaskets” under Ductile Iron Pipe and Fittings.
