Pausic Tapped To Lead AMERICAN’s New Quality Assurance Division

Frank C. Pausic has been named director of the new Quality Assurance Division at AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company.

“Elevating QA to the level of a division signifies the importance that we place on producing the highest quality product,” said Van L. Richey, president and CEO of AMERICAN. “Frank’s knowledge and years of experience working in QA make him the right person to lead this effort.”

Prior to this appointment, Pausic served as works manager for the Manufacturing Division. He joined AMERICAN in 1974 as a research engineer and since that time has held several positions in the company, including QA engineer and QA manager.

Pausic is a past chairman and director of the Birmingham Chapter of ASM (Materials Information Society), a member of the Manufacturer’s Advisory Group for the American Petroleum Institute, and a member and executive advisor of the AMERICAN Leadership Association. Past appointments include serving as a member of the board of directors for the Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame.

Pausic received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company, founded in Birmingham, Ala., in 1905, is a manufacturer of ductile iron pipe, spiral-welded steel pipe, fire hydrants and valves for the waterworks industry and electric-resistance welded steel pipe for the oil and gas industry. AMERICAN’s diversified product line also includes static castings and high-performance fire pumps.
